Among the different ranges of pool cleaners within the Zodiac pool cleaner brand, the "RV" series is the commercial range of pool cleaners with 4-wheel drive instead of the CNX range with tracks.

This range of medium-high range cleaners has the particularity that all the robots include a transport trolley, which is very convenient to transport and store together with the power supply.

The Zodiac RV 5480 iQ is the first to include Zodiac's iAqualink® App control, which is complemented by the Lift System surface collection system where the robot goes up to the waterline and holds for 1.5 minutes so that it can be collected easily, as well as expelling the water from the interior quickly. These features make it the top of the Vortex range and one of the most complete models on the market. It goes up to the waterline and therefore offers a complete cleaning of the pool, a feature that, combined with its 4-wheel drive so as not to lose traction at any time, makes it a very interesting model. It includes Zodiac's high volume filter with a capacity of 5L and 100 microns that will leave your pool sparkling clean.

The robot has good features such as a wide suction mouth so that it can suck up all kinds of leaves or any other type of dirt found in your pool without clogging. Zodiac's cyclonic filtration system means that dirt is retained in the filter while the robot cycles to ensure that dirt does not return to the pool while the robot cycles.

The Zodiac RV 5480 iQ electric pool cleaner is a simple but effective robot from Zodiac, with a low price and excellent performance. This pool cleaner is lightweight and adapts to all types of pools, including above ground and saline chlorination pools, with a maximum length of 12 metres. This electric pool cleaner is recommended for in-ground pools. The difference between pools is that above-ground pools with rigid walls are placed on the ground without the need for building work, so they are higher and the walls are visible. On the other hand, the in-ground pool is flush with the ground, so for its installation, the hole in which we want the pool to be must be excavated beforehand.

 

The Zodiac RV 5480 iQ cleans the entire pool (bottom, walls and waterline) in multiple cycles, the shortest being 0.5 hours for a quick cleaning of the floor. Up to 3.5 hours for a complete deep clean.

The Zodiac RV 5480 iQ is an electric pool cleaner. It is a programmable system that requires mains power to operate. What are its main features? They have their own filtration system, which means that it is not necessary to program the system any more than usual for the cleaner to do its job. In addition, they are autonomous and independent.

 

Electric pool cleaners are devices that work silently. They are easy to store and transport. Their work cycles are very short and their energy consumption is lower than what is normally needed to operate the pool's filtration equipment, etc... There are only advantages!

To start using this model of electric pool cleaner, a series of steps must be followed. First of all, it is recommended to extend the length of the cable next to the pool, thus avoiding the risk of entanglement during immersion. The Zodiac RV 5480 IQ pool cleaner has a cable length of 18 metres.

 

To start it up correctly, it is recommended that the robot is immersed in the centre of the length of the pool or, alternately, each time it is placed in the pool, the corner where it is placed should be rotated. Once this has been done, the electric pool cleaner must be immersed vertically in the water and moved in all directions in order to eliminate any air that the robot may have inside.

 

The Zodiac RV 5480 IQ robot pool cleaner is as light as a feather, which makes it very easy to transport. In terms of filtration, it has a high-capacity, 100-micron filter.

The robot is covered by a 3-year warranty offered by the manufacturer in accordance with Royal Decree-Law 7/2021 of 27 April. You can see the warranty conditions in the warranty document included in the documents section.

*The correct functioning and performance of all the functions of the robot both on the bottom and on the walls is not guaranteed as long as the pH level is not correct, it contains slime or algae or the filters are saturated by excess dust and dirt, and a total cleaning of the filtration basket has not been carried out beforehand, as well as any pool with irregular surfaces on the walls such as ribs, including pool steps.
